BROADCASTING AND JOURNALISM
I have been contributing to the religious output of BBC Radio since 1987. Thought for the Day, Prayer for the Day and the Daily Service for Radio 4; Pause for Thought on Radio 2; and Weekend Word for BBC Radio Wales. All these contributions have been scripted. In all, they amount to some 600 scripts.

For ten years, with Cindy Kent, I offered a weekly current affairs commentary on Premier Christian Radio. This was called “Taking the Tablet” and consisted of an analysis of three articles in the Roman Catholic weekly newspaper of that name. This was a “live” programme which was repeated at another time.

I have contributed a monthly article to the Methodist Recorder since 1992. During my year as President of the Methodist Conference (1994 – 1995) this became a weekly article.
I’ve written occasionally for the Church Times (Church of England) and The Tablet (Roman Catholic).
